Australian way of Playing Cricket

Second test between India and Australia has finished and India would be ruing bad umpiring decisions and their failure to correct their batting line-up. It was depressing to see them losing after they have almost saved the match. However this post is not about India's in-ability to save the match. Rather, it is opposition, in this case Mighty Australia, whose way of playing Cricket is nauseating.
Now, there is no doubt Australia is a strong team. Good bowling Strength, Couple of Great Batsmen and to top it all, ferocious fielding...this pretty much sums -up Australian teams of last decade. So, it seems amusing that they would want to rely on extraneous means to get to Winning post. The way Michael Clarke didn't walk after he had thick-edged the ball to first slip and the way ponting would apear after "grossing" the ball of Dhoni's pads, was disgusting to say the least. I am not sure why they do it? They are pretty smart cricketers, skilled and smart. Why will they want to win like weak men?

BCCI once again shooting itself again in foot

I am forgetting the name of the author , oh yes, it is Peter Senge, I guess who propagated the idea of learning organizations. BCCI is complete anti-thesis to this. Amazing organization...inept, corrupt, narcissist...
Now, it is appointing Gary Kirsten as coach of Indian Cricket Team. Now, I don't have anything against Kirsten..however, I don't see a connection between him and coaching. He has not coached even a county side till date and he is going to coach Yuvraj Singh..Looks like Sunil Gavaskar and Mumbai lobby at its best again. Out of all the coacheswho applied for the job, BCCI is now proposing employing Gary as coach. Why not stick with Lalchand Rajput? At-least, players are comfortable with him and he has done coaching for Mahrashtra and Mumbai, I guess. On top of everything, Gary is going to be a Visiting Coach..whatever that means for a team which plays cricket all 12 months of the year.

BCCI - chickens without heads

Curiously, the drama of congress vs left over Nuclear Deal and BCCI vs ICL looks so similar. Especially in one context - where Indian ambasaador to states, Ronen Sen , remarked - "Why all these people running like headless chickens"? ( He actually meant Indian Politicians but to save his ### he had to say that he meant press guys). Similarly, the BCCI reactions to formation of ICL just reminds of this fantastic phrase courtesy Ronen Sen.

Leftists - Sigh....

Our countrymen should really really throw these communists out of this country. I do not understand what's their issue with India-US Nuclear Deal.
  • Are they opposed to India talking to US and getting its help in circumventing NPT and CTBT etc etc?
  • Are they fear that India might develop some minimum nuclear deterrant even to deter China?

It is just due to Congress' political bankruptcy that these guys are holding all of us to ransom.
